Six Corners Economic Development Master Plan

The Lakota Group was part of a team that developed a master plan for the Six Corners commercial district on the northwest side of Chicago. The plan included recommendations for increasing density, improving the mixed-use shopping environment, providing meaningful public spaces, and building upon the historic Portage Park theater as a focal point for a new entertainment district. Lakota also created a vision for transforming this district into a more pedestrian and bike friendly area by recommending cutting edge transportation solutions, including a reconfiguration of the prime Six Corners intersection, new walking street connections, pedestrian alleys, and strategic mid-block crossings.
