I-394 Corridor Plan

The Lakota Group worked with TranSystems to develop a plan for the I-394/IL Route 1 Corridor from just north of I-80 to the southern boundary of Will County. The Corridor vision provides an organized, integrated approach to address a multitude of regional and local transportation issues, land use and development opportunities, and physical and aesthetic enhancements. Lakota identified key development sites, created a range of development scenarios, envisioned a variety of gateway and monument signs and outlined site and street-related design guidelines for the overall study area. The planning process involved 13 communities and is managed by the South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association.
