Lakota has been in the news again, engaging with suburban communities outside both Chicago and Milwaukee—and those conversations are yielding real results:
ACTIVE TOSA: Lakota is leading the effort to create a Recreational Master Plan for Wauwatosa, a community near Milwaukee, WI. Our work, which will address the future of the parks, trails, open spaces, and recreation facilities within the city, was featured in Wauwatosa Now. As the article notes, the public is an active part of the process that has included an online survey and three open houses. We expect the things we learn from this community will be invaluable to the recreational master plan.
TOWN, GOWN & A PLAN FOR THE FUTURE: Our work with Loyola Academy (in Wilmette, IL) on their “Loyola Forward 2025,” a long-term plan for their campus, was featured in the Chicago Tribune. We have already had great feedback from community members, leaders of local institutions, parents, faculty and neighbors and look forward to continuing the conversation. And in the meantime, let’s stop and say “Right back at ya!” We think the folks we have interviewed are pretty sharp too.
